Leading From The Rear

Martial Power is out but I haven't managed to get my copy yet. What I did find was this - two ranged warlord builds plus some very nice powers. Of course, Mignola is likely to continue to charge into combat and get his ass kicked, but the odd long-distance power will come in handy...

Ranged Warlord powers
Do you know which one(s) you'd want to take? TBH I'm still not familiar enough with 4e to work out whether these are over-powered.

On the face of it I think that the At Wills look like they could be too powerful (potentially giving someone a +1 to attack or on AC every single round!).

Let me know which you want and I'll think about them more carefully, but yes, possibly they'll be okay.

Cheers,
A

Re: Ranged Warlord powers
Not sure yet. My copy of Martial Power arrived yesterday - huzzah! - and I need to have a proper look through that too. There are two new warlord builds and shedloads of powers and feats!

Hello there! I'm the guy who wrote those. Thank you for the link! As for the overpoweredness of the At Will powers, they are roughly comparable to the Cleric's Lance of Faith and Priest's Shield, except they are Effect (thus give their bonuses on a miss), give less bonuses and require the ally to be adjacent to the target. Each person has their own standards for overpoweredness, but I very much doubt these are.

If you have any other concerns, you are welcome to comment on the blog! Good gaming!
