Kaidan Session #6

I'm not sure I can say much about last night's game (and that's not just because the heat and possibly two pints of Kronenbourg made me sleepy). No, it's because Lin Da Chong won't say who he followed down to the beach and spoke to, or what exactly happened when he and Barbara were on watch together.

What I can say is that what was left of our shipwrecked ship was torched, presumably by Iago's "friendly" beastmen, and that evil undead monks may or may not be behind the curse keeping us here and turning people into animals. En route to said monks, I was grabbed by an assassin vine or something similar and strangled into oblivion. Fortunately, Iago was able to revive me with his healing magic. Afterwards he talked to the parrots again but they're still not talking to him.

We got to the bottom of the cliff where the evil monastery is. The obvious way up was via some kind of complicated pulley system. Eschewing this, we talked to the improbably named Pe Dzik who was hiding out in the buildings beneath the cliff, living off sludge produced by his magical spoon. He told us about a path up to the top which we took; it was pretty perilous and we nearly fell to our deaths several times. I'm never sure if being roped together is a good thing or not to be honest -- the PCs with the crap Climb rolls can really drag you down!

Anyway, the others will have to battle the undead monks with their hanging-off skin without me as I won't be at the next few sessions. I'm sure they'll cope admirably.

PS Still no sign of Serl. It's very quiet without him.
PPS My inability to Spot or Listen continues

I've written up about 2/3 of the "official" log for the last two sessions, and will hopefully get this online late tonight (Wednesday).

Mind the gap
I actually enjoyed the bit when we were trying to get across the gaps. Gritty adventuring!
