Visions of Elemental Chaos

Couple of pictures from WotC's forthcoming Heroes of the Elemental Chaos book, coming out in February. The first excerpt has been posted and it looks like there is some good background stuff on the cosmology, including more information on the primordials. Should also be some interesting options for genasi and the sha'ir is back!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm going to try and set an adventure or two there and see if I can make some sense of it. I didn't care for the old Inner Planes much either though to be honest. The Abyss belongs with the other old Outer Planes IMO - I was a big Planescape/Great Wheel fan!

I'm a Planescape fan, too-- I think it is crazy that they haven't published a "Great Wheel" alternate cosmology book. Staying "on brand" has been bad for the hobby; I hope this 5e stuff helps fix that.

Did you see the Penny Acade post about the Elemental Chaos? That...that looks like a lot of effing fun.

A Planescape/Great Wheel book for 4e would have been very cool. </p>

One of the main sites I want my players to visit in the Elemental Chaos is the City of Brass. I have that cool boxed set Necromancer Games did and also Secrets of the Lamp (AQ) which has an adventure set there. No idea how to get this to fit into either of my two Parsantium campaigns though. Yet. I also want to try out something with githyanki pirates and the Astral Sea.

Love that Penny Arcade story!
