Next year's setting: Dark Sun!

Very nice cover! I didn't play Dark Sun the first time round and only have the second edition boxed set in which a lot of the key concepts were apparently watered down. I think I'd like to give the 4e version a try.

WotC article here.

Still a bit sad that they didn't chose Spelljammer!

My first long running campaign was done using the Dark Sun modules, so I'm very excited about this.

The problem Dark Sun ran into was the first 5 novel series for the game made huge sweeping changes. A sorcerer king is killed in the first book, I think three more are killed in the ones that follow, and even the Dragon is killed. So the revised set looked very different from the first box. I'm pretty happy that they're turning back the clock, and it sounds like they're be following Eberron's "the novels are not canon" rule.

I do hope Spelljammer shows up; I've got some fond memories of that setting. Leaping down from one ship to another, starwheel pistols blazing. Good times.

Yes, and giff! And nautiloid ships! And the scro and their witchlight marauders! And the dohwar and giant space hamsters - erm, hang on a minute... maybe some things are best left behind with the 2nd Edition version.
